The idyllic village of Wernesgrün is best known for its excellent "Wernesgrüner Pils", which has been brewed here since 1436 and is popular worldwide. For more than 100 years there has also been our wind orchestra, and for some time a dance group, which are also known far beyond the local borders. The "Musikverein Wernesgrün e.V. von 1907" is committed to maintaining tradition, creating a lively cultural life and promoting young people. It is open to all musicians, friends and sponsors who would like to take an active or supportive part in the life of the association.

 

 

 

The "Music Festival of Bohemian Brass Bands" as a project of the partner communities Chyše (CZ) and the community Steinberg, as well as the music association Wernesgrün e.V. was successfully carried out for the tenth time on August 5th, 2023. In 2013 for the first time in Wernesgrün, nine more meetings have since taken place in the twin town of Chyše in the Czech Republic.
This measure is co-financed by taxes on the basis of the budget passed by the Saxon state parliament.

The acquisition of the instrument "Baritonhorn B&S 3046-L" and its accessories was made possible by tax funds based on the budget passed by the Saxon State Parliament.
